Want to Serve Your Country? Be an Election Judge!

Judges ensure that the voting process goes smoothly and honestly. Serving as an election judge is a great way to meet your neighbors and protect one of our most cherished freedoms - the right to vote.

The City is looking for residents to serve as election judges in the 2019 and 2020 elections. Fill out an election judge interest form and we will reach out to you in August 2019 with more information.  

The next Election Day in Hopkins is the municipal election on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Who Can Apply 

You must be eligible to vote in Minnesota and able to read English. Students 16 and 17 years-old can be election judge trainees.

Relatives cannot serve together in the same precinct at the same time. In addition, relatives of a candidate, and anyone who temporarily or permanently lives in the same house as a candidate, cannot serve in the precinct where the candidate is on the ballot.

Candidates cannot serve in a precinct where they are on the ballot.
