Over the next two years, the Hopkins community and Xcel Energy will be partnering through the Partners in Energy program. This program will build upon past community energy discussions and plans and help Hopkins develop and implement a strategic Energy Action Plan.
There will be a six month planning stage and 18 month implementation stage.
Learn more about the Partners in Energy Program.
As part of the planning stage, the City is forming an Energy Action Team of approximately 12-15 Hopkins community members including residents, business owners, and representatives of organizations.
This Energy Action Team will participate in five in-person planning workshops to determine the community's baseline energy use, identify benchmarks for progress towards defined goals, and help the community evaluate opportunities to participate in energy-related programs in the future.
The in-person planning workshops will be held in the evenings for 2-2.5 hours on the following dates. A meal will be provided.
If you're interested in serving on the Energy Action Team, submit an application using this online form.
If you have any questions our would like to discuss this opportunity, please contact City of Hopkins Planner Kurt Howard at 952-548-6339.
