Save the Date: Garden Plot Registration Begins April 3

Registration for community garden plots begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, for Hopkins residents. Registration is on a first come, first served basis (limit two plots per household). Residents must provide proof of residency and register in-person at Hopkins City Hall, 1010 First Street S. Non-residents may register beginning Friday, April 5. Find more information about Hopkins' community garden plots.

Applications Open for Advancing Careers and Employment (ACE) Program 

Applications are now open for the Advancing Careers and Employment (ACE) Program. ACE is a youth employment program that offers young people facing barriers to employment an eight-week paid summer internship and professional development experience. The program begins June 18 and helps youth gain a valuable work experience, expand their skillset and get a head start in a career path that interests them. Positions are available within Administration and Finance, Community Development and Inspections, the Hopkins Activity Center, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, the Fire Department, the Police Department and Hopkins Public Works, at $16/hour.
