Twice a year, the City offers a bulk item drop-off service for City of Hopkins residential garbage customers. A valid Minnesota ID or current paid utility bill must be shown to prove eligibility.
The 2020 fall bulk item drop-off event will be held on Thursday, September 24, from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, September 25, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Drop off at the Public Works building at 11100 Excelsior Boulevard (Enter off of Excelsior Boulevard).
A $20 (plus taxes) per vehicle fee applies for this service. This user fee covers one appliance. Any additional appliances are $20 (plus taxes) each. Fees will be placed on your utility bill under "additional billing."
Please refer to Hennepin County's Green Disposal Guide for options on how to dispose of these items. Hazardous wastes must be taken to the Hennepin County Transfer Station. Call Hennepin County for more information at 612-348-3777.
