A permit is required for construction or replacement of a driveway (City Code 810.01 (PDF)). Requiring a permit enables the City to protect the public by setting and enforcing construction standards, inspect work done within the right-of-way, and ensure proper pavement construction.
Applying for a Permit
Download and complete Driveway / Parking Lot Permit Application (PDF) and return to City Hall.
The permit fee for a driveway is $40.

- Minimum driveway width is 10 feet.
- Maximum driveway width is 22 feet.
- Driveways must be no nearer than 2 feet to a side lot line.
