Scheduling an Inspection
The person listed on the permit as doing the work is responsible for calling for inspections. While every effort will be made to conduct inspections on short notice, we request that you allow at least 24 hours advance notice. This is particularly true during the busy construction months of April through October.
- When you call for an inspection, you will be asked for:
- Your address
- The type of inspection you desire
- The permit number (which is found on your building permit and inspection record card)
- Time you want the inspection (We will make every effort to accommodate requests for inspections at specific times. Inspections are done weekdays from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. and are scheduled every half hour.)
Inspection personnel will not enter an occupied dwelling unattended or when unsupervised children are present. Arrangements must be made to have an adult present during the inspection.
