National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and to provide an opportunity to promote and celebrate police-community partnerships in crime prevention efforts.
Get the word out – Join your neighbors and “give crime and drugs a going away party”!
From 5 to 9 p.m., residents in neighborhoods throughout Hopkins and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors. Many neighborhoods throughout Hopkins will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, ice cream socials, potlucks and games.
Join the Hopkins Police Department at 5 p.m. in Downtown Park for a National Night Out Kick-Off event, featuring a community address from Mayor Patrick Hanlon and Police Chief Brent Johnson; fire trucks, public works vehicles, squad cars; Sparky and McGruff the Crime Dog; food from Nacho’s Mexican Grill; a live band and more!
National Night Out party registration for 2022 has closed.
